A volume containing contributions and lecture notes of the symposium participants will be published. This volume does not constitute "proceedings" but rather a collection of contributed articles and lecture notes that reflects the content of this scientific event. All papers will undergo rigorous peer review, with the highest international standards, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees.

Previous volumes have been published by the Mexican Mathematical Society, the American Mathematical Society, the journal Stochastic Models, and the latest in the Birkhäuser series Progress in Probability. The volume of this edition will also be published in the latter series with the purpose of making of this a tradition.
